Privacy Policy

Nooborn ("we", "our", "the app") is a baby tracking and parenting coaching app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data that stays on your device

All tracking data you enter (feeds, sleep, diapers, medications, mood, photos, and all other logs) is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to this data. We cannot see it, read it, or retrieve it.

2. Data sent to third-party services

Two optional features send data to external services:

AI Diaper Analysis (optional): If you choose to use the AI analysis feature, a photo you select is sent to Google's Gemini API via our Cloudflare Worker proxy for analysis. The photo is not stored on our servers. It is transmitted, processed, and discarded. We do not retain copies.

Voice Logging (optional): If you use the voice logging feature, your speech is processed on-device by Apple's Speech Recognition framework. The resulting text transcript (not audio) may be sent to Google's Gemini API via our Cloudflare Worker proxy for structured parsing. Transcripts are not stored on our servers.

Both features use a Cloudflare Worker as a proxy to protect the API key. The proxy does not log, store, or retain any data that passes through it. Rate limiting uses anonymous device tokens (not personally identifiable).

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:

4. Device tokens

The AI features use an anonymous device token stored in your iPhone's Keychain to enforce rate limits (e.g., one free analysis per day). This token is a random identifier that cannot be linked to your identity, Apple ID, or any personal information.

5. Partner sync

Partner pairing uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework, which creates a direct peer-to-peer connection between two nearby iPhones. Data is exchanged directly between devices over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No data passes through our servers or any third-party servers during partner sync.

6. Children's privacy

Nooborn is designed for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. The app tracks information about babies as entered by their parents, and this data remains on the parent's device.

7. Data export and deletion

You can export your data at any time using the in-app export feature. To delete all data, simply delete the app from your iPhone. Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app permanently removes all your data.
